| As He traveled to Caesarea Philippi, Jesus inquired of His disciples who He, the Son of Man is. (Matthew 16:13-15) Peter gave the only correct answer. "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God." (Matthew 16:16) Jesus was well pleased with Peter's answer for to believe that Jesus is the Son of Man - the Christ, the Son of God is to possess life in His name. (John 20:30-31; 3:14-17; 5:24-27; 6:47-54; 11:25-27) "Blessed are you, Simon Bar Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 16:17) The rock upon which Jesus has built His church is the sure rock of His person and ministry as the Son of Man - the Christ, the Son of God, who gives life in His name to those who believe in Him: "I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:10) It is upon this sure and precious rock that Grace Chapel rejoices in His service.
